Hey there! (:

Hey everyone, it's Anka! Some interesting facts about me are that I am a vegetarian and my favorite subject in school is photography. I became a vegetarian at the age of 8, therefore I've been a vegetarian for almost 7 years now! Whenever I say that people are always like, "WOW!". :)

Photography is SO much fun! I enjoy taking hundreds of pictures everyday (and no...I am NOT exaggerating!) and editing them. Now that I'm taking photography in high school, I am BEYOND excited! Something I am most excited for about high school is joining lots of clubs and the thing I am least excited about is all the homework! So bye guys! Can't wait to post my next vlog! :D

Hey

Hey, It's Kara! Okaayyyy, something interesting about me is that I'm a freak with memorizing and reciting numbers. I can say 80 numbers of Pi in about 15 or something seconds(someone will have to time me :p) ...but I still am horrible at math haha. I'm looking forward to all the Friday night lights and big events at GBS. Im not to thrilled about the homework though! Yeah that's about it! :)

Camping 2011!! =)

Hello, Rachie here... and I finally made it on here, no matter how sleepy I am right now, I made it! The only exciting thing I did this summer was go on a church retreat to "Chain O' Lakes". It's a camping site up north near Gurnee & it was a very good way to end my summer. But the bad part was I have mosquito bites everywhere. :(

I'm not really good at telling people about myself, because I think it's just best to ask people about me, so you could hear what they got to say. But here goes a shot, I was born in Stockton, California. and i spent most of my childhood there. I moved to Chicago when i was 8/9 and I just recently moved to Glenview this summer! Oh! I am very family oriented, I like to eat Asian food, and sleep. :)

Personally, one of the things I am most excited about is making new friendships and hopefully maintaining those friendships I make. The thing that I am least excited about school has to be the tremendous amounts of homework that awaits me and everyone else. :( Other than that, I'm ready for what high school has to offer!

My bad

i just read the directions and didnt follow the directions so i guess i gotta make another post
my favorite sports are hockey and football
my favorite music is Dubstep <(*.*<) (>*.*)> (dancing kirby)
i enjoy any and all technology
my pet is an akita/german shepard named teemu
thats about it
so goodbye

De hello!

Hello!

Hi everyone it's Catie! I think something interesting is sloths. They're so cute!! I think they're interesting because theyre happy all the time even though everyone else is so much faster than them! This year, I think I'm most excited for finally leaving middle school! I'm probably least excited about all the homework and lack of sleep we're all going to get! This is my third try at posting so I hope it works!!!

P.s. I couldn't feed the fish :(

Hey! :)

What's up guys, its Erika!! Alright, so something interesting about me is that I love literally any kind of music except screamo and classical! My iTunes has everything from like hard core rap to country songs that are about riding a tracker! Haha! Music is my life, I don't know what I would do without it! Something that I'm excited about this year is definitely meeting new people, and just having a lot of fun at South! Something that I am the least excited about is getting a lot of homework (which I'm sure everyone else is like that too). Well yeah, this class is going to be pretty awesome!! :)

Interesting Facts

Hey guys, its Maggie. So, something that is interesting about me is that I love to snowboard and my favorite subject in school is math and science class. I'm also really organized and I also love to complete puzzles. It is interesting because most people absolutely hate math and science class and most teenagers are not organized. Something that I am excited for this year is meeting new people. Something that I am least excited about is getting a lot of homework. Alright well I hope this works!

Water Bears!

Hey guys... its Mrs. Stein here... this summer I spent a few days at a teacher workshop in New York where I met some interesting people and learned a lot of new stuff!!!  One of the teachers at the workshop told about these organisms called Water Bears.  Has anyone ever heard of them???  So, apparently they are quite abundant in moss, so we should be able to find them anywhere... they are microscopic and they can survive being frozen for years!  They go into a dormant state to survive extreme temperatures.  This is something that is seen in simpler organisms, but in an actual animal, it is rare... and pretty cool!  And what else is cool about these critters... they don't really fit in with other groupings of invertbrates.

They are not insects... not worms... they just don't fit.  Cool eh?  I am hoping to find some moss and see if in fact we really do have these little guys running around in Glenview too!  Want more info on Water Bears?

Check out this interesting article on them.

Or watch this video.

Aren't they soooo cute???  And weird too!!!
What's interesting to you??? Please share!  Feel free to comment on my post too!

What am I MOST excited about?
I really love watching the transformations in freshman... I look forward to seeing the learning and growth that will happen in each of you this year... (OK...i know, a little cheesy)

What am I LEAST excited about?
Waking up early, traffic, and grading papers!
