It depends on which side of heart you are talking about. On the right it comes in to the body and goes to the pulmonary artery and then to the lungs. That blood is deoxygenated. when it comes in from the pulmonary vein it then goes in to the left side and into the the aorta and then to the rest of the body. that blood is oxygenated.
