The grossest point yet

my biggest confusion is how to determine the difference between Sex linked traits and regular, and what you use for the punnet squares. I know for blood it's like IAIA or IAi but for sex linked traits is it X(letter for disorder) X   or Y if it's a male. Just need the whole thing cleared up a little.

  1. For a female, you use X (letter for disorder) X (letter for disorder). For male, it's X (letter for disorder) Y (nothing). It's not confusing if you know that women have (XX) and men have (XY). But remember, men have a higher chance of getting the disease because they only need 1 letter of disorder to get it, while women need 2, if it's recessive. Women need 1, if it's dominant.
