heyy its catie! ok so i understand what half lives are, but im still confused about what they can tell us. Like how does it give evidence about evolution, and what does it prove (besides how many atoms there are)
Hey its Jarod. Half-lifes tell us how long something has been decomposing and that helps us on what time it died and how old it is. Then we compare the fossil with other fossils and we see the difference in them sometimes showing evolution.
