  1. To start of, I think it's pretty AWESOME how Charlie explains how he keeps all of these various endangered species on a ranch in Texas. When the reporter asks him if they were endangered in his view, and he replies, "Absolutely not.", that shows pure bravery in my opinion. To take all of these exotic animals? Think about owning that ranch! Then again, the hunters are hunting these animals just because they think they can "save" it by the money their getting for it? I think certain species are becoming more and more endangered every time they kill one, they're not saving them at all! I just dont get it how they can save a species by killing them :( It's so ridiculous.... I agree with the woman when she says how she would rather not have the animals exist at all in Texas if they were just there, just to be hunted for. When the guy with the white beards explains how the numbers of the animals are not decreasing but rather staying stable or increasing, i couldn't believe it. I am not convinced that these ranchers are saving the species of animals from extinction. BRING THESE EXOTIC ANIMALS BACK TO THEIR NATIVE LANDS is all I have to say :)

  2. In the beginning of the video I though, oh this is great look this guy is saving all of these endangered species woohoo! But then...the rancher was letting people HUNT them, just so he could get money?! This is absurd. First off, if he needs the money so bad he is not fit to try to help all of these animals, although it may seem a good deed to do so. Second, it is also absurd that these aniamls on the brink of extinction are being bred with the sole purpose of being hunted. They are born so they can get killed. How is that helping the species in any way? A better solution would be to still have ranches with endangered species, but DONT LET PEOPLE HUNT THEM!!! Instead, get the money needed to support the animals by letting people take 'African' like tours, which would seem fun to a lot of people. Endangered species are in DANGER (hence the name) and hunting them is only bringing them closer and closer to extinciton! These animals deserve to be in their native lands. But if they aren't there, than they deserve at least the chance to live without being hunted so some rancher can make a profit.

  3. I wonder if it's too late to get points on this extra credit but I want to share my opinion on it anyway. I thought that it was very cool and amazing how those animals were in Texas instead of Africa or some place else. I also do not think that just because the animals are not considered endangered in the Texas area, people should be hunting them. I think that they should try to create a habitat for these animals where they were native to. Can I also say that Mr. Pauls opinion was very insensible that the money he makes killing the endangered animals go right back to them and keep them alive in the ranches?? Why couldn't he have just donated his money instead of profiting his needs of pleasure by killing the animals and saying it keeps them alive while some die??? Oh, and even though more than 10% are not allowed to be hunted, how do they know that the animals can breed healthy offspring and that they will survive until they can be hunted again? I think that what Mr. Charley Seals opinion about hunters being conservationists is totally and completely wrong and that animals thrive in the ranch because of hunters is absurd, crazy, and inhumane. Its very rude of him to not let the animals be free because of his profitable cause. If he can kill something he loves then that means that he doesn't love them enough to save them. Sacrificing one does not mean that it conserves the other endangered species. Ms. Percilla Farolls opinion about not wanting to see the animals on hunting ranches will get most if not everyone on the same page as her. It's amazing where these animals came from and they were so beautiful it makes you wonder WHY people would want to hunt them. I am sure that not one single hunter thinks about the animal as if they were humans. Not one would ask themselves "Hmmm....If this was my family, does it make sense that if I kill one family member, it would help save another?" Although the numbers say that the animals are being conserved the "bottom line" is that the animals are still being killed. When it comes down to it at the end of the day there will always be two opinions for this issue.
