First Post (kind of)

Guess who??? Heidi!!!! Anyway this is not realy my first post, my first post was the muddiest point one! :0 I know, I procrastinate ALOT!!! Which is NOT a good thing!! I wonder if I still get credit.....hmm. I HOPE I DO!!!! If not thats okay, I guess. :( Posting on the blog is SO much fun!!! :) I could not figgure out how to log on and once I did procrastinate and hold off on posting blogs. Now that I know YOU might see alot of me around the blog!!! :) I normaly don't talk this much around new people but I hope I can meet each and everyone of YOU guys!!!!! :) Okay.....BYE!!!!!!!!!

First Post

Hey its Jonathan and i had trouble getting on the blog, but ive figured it out. And something interesting about me is that I BMX and i try to get out to the skate park a few times a week after school to practice some tricks and to learn new ones. I have always wanted to get out to California and enter some competitions. I'm looking forward to all the sports that you can get involved at this school, and im not excited about all the homework we get.

Hello It's Michael M and something interesting about me is that I can solve a rubix cube in about 2 and a half minutes. Something I am looking forward to is peer group and going to all the football games, and of course the thing i am very saddened for the future about is homework.

Okay seriously every time i try to post this it freezes then crashes! I wanna say im POed but im not sure if thats allowed...good thing i took some pics before i lost it! Okay starting over now: hey its eleni, i know im alittle late with this but i finally figured it out (technoolgy really isnt my thing) Okay well something interesting about me is im a really bad cook. I cant cook for my life so i decided to take up cooking class here at school and so far ive only burnt two bags of popcorn...its not like i try to mess it up i guess it just comes naturally. This year im excited to meet new people bacuse im super social. oooo and thats another intersting thing about me!! You can put me in just about any situation and ill find someone or something to talk about. Okay and something im not so excited about is all the homework. Sorry this was really badly organized. Now that i figured out the whole blog thing im going to try posting for the hundreth time, finger crossed it goes throughhhh..

Que Paso, mundo! It's Riaz here, posting up my blog primero. One thing you might not know about me, is that I'm compelled with the history of the NBA. From the 1950's till now, I'm pretty sure I know everything there is to know about that time period. I would post a video, but I dont want yall to fall asleep. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the hands on experiments, but I hope I don't fall asleep in the lessons. Let's hope not!

Hi I'm Eunice Lee.
Something interesting about me is, I am really compelled by astronomy. I'm interested in how much there is to learn from other galaxies not just our own. Did you know if our DNA was stretched out it would reach the moon 6,000 times? Also all the the planets in our solar system can fit into Jupiter!

Something I am excited for this school year are the course that we get to try out.
Something I not looking forward to is the endless amount of homework we are bound to get.

My First Post!

Hi I'm Eunice! When I was younger, something that I thought was really interesting were insects. Especially roly polys. The way they ball up in a ball when I touch them and watching it unroll itself was pretty interesting to me. (They roll up in a ball when they feel threatened). But did you know that their actual name is Armadillidiidae?! And did you know there are people who keep these creatures as pets?! Unlike other insects, these creatures can be awesome house cleaners. They eat leftovers, and little insects. You never know, you may want to keep these adorable creatures as a pet one day~

What I am most excited for this school year is dissection in biology. I wanted to be a doctor since I was six years old, because I enjoy science and learning about human bodies.

The thing I'm least excited about is marching in the band. I enjoy playing the flute, but I don't want to be marching outside every Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-9pm.

Hi i'm Jessie. Something interesing about me is i had ACL and Meniscis reapair surgury over the summer. I tore it last February and over the summer i finally got it repaired. ACL stands for Anterior Ligament and the Meniscis is cartilage. It stops your shin bone going on to the knee and helps stableize when you twist. Its also more likely for a girl to tare there ACL then a guy to.

Somethings im looking forward to this year is making new friends and spring sports.

Something im not looking foward to this year is all the homework and not being able to hang out with my friends all day, everday.

Something interesting about me is I really want to be on Broadway when I'm older. I love to dance and sing and perform in front of an audience. I am looking forward to all of the football games and school dances, and I am not looking forward to a busy schedule, with hours of homework where I don't have time to hangout with my friends. Hey everyone, it's Anka! Some interesting facts about me are that I am a vegetarian and my favorite subject in school is photography. I became a vegetarian at the age of 8, therefore I've been a vegetarian for almost 7 years now! Whenever I say that people are always like, "WOW!". :)

Photography is SO much fun! I enjoy taking hundreds of pictures everyday (and no...I am NOT exaggerating!) and editing them. Now that I'm taking photography in high school, I am BEYOND excited! Something I am most excited for about high school is joining lots of clubs and the thing I am least excited about is all the homework! So bye guys! Can't wait to post my next vlog! :D

Camping 2011!! =)

Hello, Rachie here... and I finally made it on here, no matter how sleepy I am right now, I made it! The only exciting thing I did this summer was go on a church retreat to "Chain O' Lakes". It's a camping site up north near Gurnee & it was a very good way to end my summer. But the bad part was I have mosquito bites everywhere. :(

I'm not really good at telling people about myself, because I think it's just best to ask people about me, so you could hear what they got to say. But here goes a shot, I was born in Stockton, California. and i spent most of my childhood there. I moved to Chicago when i was 8/9 and I just recently moved to Glenview this summer! Oh! I am very family oriented, I like to eat Asian food, and sleep. :)

Personally, one of the things I am most excited about is making new friendships and hopefully maintaining those friendships I make. The thing that I am least excited about school has to be the tremendous amounts of homework that awaits me and everyone else. :( Other than that, I'm ready for what high school has to offer!

Hi everyone it's Catie! I think something interesting is sloths. They're so cute!! I think they're interesting because theyre happy all the time even though everyone else is so much faster than them! This year, I think I'm most excited for finally leaving middle school! I'm probably least excited about all the homework and lack of sleep we're all going to get! This is my third try at posting so I hope it works!!!

What's up guys, its Erika!! Alright, so something interesting about me is that I love literally any kind of music except screamo and classical! My iTunes has everything from like hard core rap to country songs that are about riding a tracker! Haha! Music is my life, I don't know what I would do without it! Something that I'm excited about this year is definitely meeting new people, and just having a lot of fun at South! Something that I am the least excited about is getting a lot of homework (which I'm sure everyone else is like that too). Well yeah, this class is going to be pretty awesome!! :)

Interesting Facts

Hey guys, its Maggie. So, something that is interesting about me is that I love to snowboard and my favorite subject in school is math and science class. I'm also really organized and I also love to complete puzzles. It is interesting because most people absolutely hate math and science class and most teenagers are not organized. Water Bears!

Hey guys... its Mrs. Stein here... this summer I spent a few days at a teacher workshop in New York where I met some interesting people and learned a lot of new stuff!!!  One of the teachers at the workshop told about these organisms called Water Bears.  Has anyone ever heard of them???  So, apparently they are quite abundant in moss, so we should be able to find them anywhere... they are microscopic and they can survive being frozen for years!  They go into a dormant state to survive extreme temperatures.  This is something that is seen in simpler organisms, but in an actual animal, it is rare... and pretty cool!  And what else is cool about these critters... they don't really fit in with other groupings of invertbrates. 


They are not insects... not worms... they just don't fit.  Cool eh?  I am hoping to find some moss and see if in fact we really do have these little guys running around in Glenview too!  Want more info on Water Bears?
