Muddiest Point

Hello fellow peers, this is Trent......my muddiest point was the greenhouse effect. Is it the Co2 that causes the earths atmosphere to become thicker? That causes more heat?

  1. Hi Trenton! Ill give you an example to see if it will help you. So imagine a car in the hot summer, you know how the heat from the sunlight gets trapped into the car? But it can never escape? (not all the heat goes into the car some bounces off) That's like how global warming is, and it is the CO2 that makes the earths atmosphere thicker and cause more heat. I hope that example helped you alittle if not sorry I couldn't help.

  2. Oh and the car example is kind of what the greenhouse effect is too.

  3. Greenhouse effect is kinda like a blanket that wraps the earth. That blanket is made out of gas.

Just like your blanket traps heat to keep you warm at night, the layer of gases traps heat too.

The 'blanket' is made out of gasses like CO2. Thinker blanket, more heat is trapped. Hope that helps.
