hey hey wassup, its Riaz!

So far, my muddiest point in the unit has been on the differences and similarities between primary and secondary succession. Help out, por favor!

With a dance move struttin,

  1. Well first Primary succession is when succession begins in an area that never experienced growth. For example, you're walking along a shore by Lake Michigan, and you notice some little plants growing out from the rocks. That is an example of primary succession because the rocks never experienced growth before. And Secondary succession is when something occurs that harms the area, but not completely destroying it. For example, if a wild fire spreads throughout the plain and burning down the whole forest, but then after a month you notice that there's little plants and weeds starting to grow back and soon the forest will also re-grow.
