Hey its jon, and my muddiest point is that I need some help about understanding what I just read about in the textbook. The only way I memorize what I've read about is if I take cornal notes. But I'm not going to take all those cornal notes after every time I read a section in the book. So i need some tips about other ways of memorizing what I read in an easier way.
hey Jon! some effective memory devices I know of include:
ReplyDelete1) make flashcards of key words
2) make up a rhyme or a song to memorize facts
3) relate the facts back to your life (like use analogies)
if you have a photographic memory:
-just look at the pages for a while
-I know you said u don't want to take notes, but try to write down as much as you can remember about what was on the page
hope this helps!
I don't know why it says by unknown user but this is Kara s!
ReplyDeletehi jon its catie! like kara, i agree taking notes its probably the best way to go. but if your in a time crunch or just REALLY dont feel like taking notes, a strategy i use is to do this:
ReplyDeleteafter every paragraph, just try to put a sentence in your own words to summarize it. you can even just say it to yourself if you dont want to write it down. (if its a longer paragrpah, probably more than one sentence is best).
This helps because if you can't generally summarize what just happened, you know that you dont understand it. finding this out right away keeps you form moving on too fast and getting lost! hope that's helpful!
